G&F ROW
Looking north, this is where the G&F once came into Greenwood. The trail actually curves away from the ROW at the very back of the pic. The mainline went beyond the curve in the trail before going into a curve itself. This is where the rails are still in place, being used by CSX today to turn engines. After the Southern took over the G&F, Southern tied their mainline to the G&F main somewhere to the south of here so they could quit having to go through the middle of downtown Greenwood.

Jared Blocker General Just south of downtown Greenwood. I'm not too familiar with Greenwood, but in one of my other pics there's a stop sign in the track with a railroad crossing in the background. Can't remember the name of the street with the crossing, but the location is south of that stop sign. That crossing is just west of downtown Greenwood but east of CSX's Maxwell Yard. I had to hike a bit past that stop sign to get to this location. 11/5/2008 7:32:37 PM
